About MicroHAOPs Inc.

MicroHAOPs began operation in 2015 with the goal of commercializing a new technology for reducing fouling of water treatment membranes. Developed by the company’s founders at the University of Washington, this technology improves contaminant removal and lowers the cost of membrane-based treatment processes. Subsequently, we demonstrated that the process can remove phosphorus from treated domestic wastewater and polluted natural waters to trace levels.

With support from the US National Science Foundation, our process has been scaled up from bench- to pilot-scale, with testing completed or underway at water and wastewater plants in the US, Norway, China, and Singapore.
